Baby "E" was scheduled for her photo shoot on her 10th day of life. Then I got sick :( So I called mom to postpone because there is no way I would ever want to get a baby sick. Of course my whole family had to get sick too. Any family out there knows, when this domino effect sets in to play, your confined to your home for a while. We finally scheduled a new day and that morning I got a call from mom that her kiddo was sick :( So we had to reschedule again. The day of this photo shoot finally came and baby "E" was one month old. I have to say she was the sleepiest one month old I have ever meet. She would wake up and then fall back asleep within minutes :) I got so many great shots :) Here is her "Sneak Peak"

Two year old twins "A" and "C" are so full of joyful :) I love the world through 2 year old eyes...everything is fun and exciting. They were perfect little models for the Little Diva Boutique headbands. I love working with other business and being exposed to a variety of different products. These headbands are well made, fun, vintage creations that I adore. They would be a perfect birthday gift for any young girl. What do you think of the headbands?

Murrieta Newborn Photographer: Custom Frames

Frames...Oh...how I love them! They can make, create, or help a room look complete. Before I had Evan, I knew I had to put frames up in his nursery. Now that they are up, it makes the room feel perfect! When I am feeding Evan at night....as sleepy as I am...when I look up, these put a smile on my face :) To me, this is what photography is all about...displaying those precious moments that go by so quickly....it's not just digital files that are on my computer, that I never do anything with. I love the way these frames look and the way they make me feel :)

Baby "A" was amazing. She was super sleepy at the beginning of the session, which made her a breeze to pose :) I just love newborns! At the end of every newborn session, I am reminded of how much I love to do this. She is such a beautiful baby....Congratulations mom and dad!

First Day of Kindergarten

I never thought this day would come as quickly as it did. Kaylee started her first day of Kindergarten today. I am full of various emotions...happy for her, excited, worried. The school seems so big for my little baby...but then again, she is not a little baby anymore. The past couple weeks she has been so excited to start school...she has been telling me what a big girl she is and how she gets to start kindergarten :) The morning started well, I got Kaylee and I dressed....we took some pictures in our backyard and then headed to school (Thank goodness Nana was there to watch my other two kiddos) Kaylee was perfectly happy until she had to line up...she knew that would mean her dad and I would have to go...fortunately, I was not alone...there was another girl having the same problem. So I walked her into class, told her I loved her and I would see her soon....she cried. I knew I had to run out or she would freak out more...so I did...aghh...so hard. Even though I know she will be ok in a few minutes, it's hard to walk (or run) away. We went through this same process with preschool, but it doesn't make it any easier. Here's some pics we took this morning:

Sneak Peak: Baby "E"

3 1/2 week old baby "E" was such a sweetheart. Her mom and I have been friends for a long time and it was such an honor to take her baby's pictures. We were both pregnant at the same time (our babies are 12 days apart) which is so much fun to relate and share stories as we journey through motherhood together. Here's the sneak peak:

He is here :) My sweet little boy, Evan...I cannot stop loving on my little guy! He was born on June 3 and he was 7 pounds 2 ounces. Kaylee and Corban are so excited they have a little baby in the house....they have been giving him lots of love too. I am just trying to cherish these newborn moments, because I know they go by fast and I know he is my last baby. I love his sweet newborn noises, how he curls up on my chest and sleeps, his newborn grunts and the way he smells. Here are a few photos I was finally able to get to....

Baby Shower

My sister put on an amazing baby shower for me. I am truly thankful that I have an amazing group of friends and family who love and support me. Baby Evan will have all he needs and more...and I am still amazed at all the new things that come out for babies, even if only a few years go by. The day started off gloomy...I got worried and then it started pouring rain. I couldn't believe it. The week before I was worried about getting umbrellas to have some shade from the heat, and now it was pouring...figures :)It finally subsided, the sun came out and it ended up being a beautiful day.

Livie's Heart Quilt...I lost it when I opened this gift. It meant so much to me. My friend lost her baby last year to Hypoplastic left heart syndrome. Since then, Livie's Grandma, Renee has started making these quilts, as a memorial to her grand daughter. She donates any and all money gained to the Ronald McDonald house. Sneak Peak: Baby "Q"

Is he not so adorable! 6 week old baby "Q" has beautiful blue eyes and dark hair...reminds me of Superman :) He is a relaxed baby and loves his mommy! It's amazing how quickly they grow. It seems like yesterday he was born and now he is already 6 weeks....eyes right open...exploring the new world around him. I got a few shots with mommy too...there is nothing more precious!

I can't believe my little baby is going to be 5 next month. I was always told that they grow up fast, but no one told me TIME just goes by fast once you have kids. Kaylee is my "little mommy." Since she was really little, she has always nurtured and taken care of her babies and stuffed animals. I would find (and still find) all her babies "tucked in" for bed, all over her room. They are in her bed, the closet, the floor and even in her dresser...each with a pillow and covered with a blanket. She brings me such joy! With another baby on the way, (I am due in 10 days) I wanted to make sure I did pictures to mark this huge milestone coming up. So I left her brother with daddy and we had mommy and me time. Normally, Kaylee is not too cooperative when the camera is out, but she did really well and I love how they turned out.

9 Day Old Baby "G"

It was such a pleasure to work with 9 day old, 9 lb, baby "G." It took a bit of work to get her asleep, but it was worth it! As you can see, she had a full head of beautiful, dark hair and the cutest cheeks I have ever seen! Newborns are my favorite clients to work with. There is something amazing about a new baby...their look, smell, and how cute they are all bundled. All the hats and crocheted baby props are by Sandy. She has just finished a huge order and her shop will be opening soon on Etsy. As soon as it is, I will post a link. She has been so fun to work with, I tell her an idea I have and she can whip it up, flawlessly :) Below, I have always wanted to do a lady bug...I love how it turned out.

Hats

Are these not the cutest hat ever!!!! My kids love them! Kaylee actually keeps the hats next to her, on her bed, when she sleeps :) I have been so fortunate to work with a very talented lady who makes baby and children hats. Sandy has come up with some creative hats and patterns and we have been working together to create some beautiful photography props as well. She approached me about taking some pictures of her hats, for her website (Her website is not up yet, but as soon as it is, I will post a link). Above, are some pictures of my kids modeling the hats. She has so many different types of hats, in every color you can think of. I'll be posting more pictures of her other hats in the future.

2010 was a busy year. I started my business, joined PPA (Professional Photographers of America), became a non-profit photographer for NILMDTS (Now I lay me down to sleep), and went to workshops for baby posing. This year I worked with close to 30 babies. I just love to photograph newborns. Personally, it has been a bitter sweet year for me. I lost my grandmother Alice on January 5th 2010. I have never experienced such a great loss or realized that months after, it could still effect me so much. She was one of my greatest supporters and always encouraged me to do what I love. I know I will see her again someday, I just miss sharing my life with her. On the bright side, I am expecting baby number 3 in June 2011. We found out it is a little boy and we couldn't be happier. I can't wait meet him and take tons of pictures of him :)
Above are some of my favorite pictures this year. It is amazing how quickly a baby grows. When I photograph them they are so small...a few weeks later they seem bigger and their faces change, that newborn "look" seems to disappear. Children are amazing!

P and T were so sweet. They were a little tired and fell asleep during the photo shoot, but we got some great shots :) P was a little ham, he was always posing and smiling and T was sweet and reserved. I just love how you can see distinct personalities, even as babies. One of my favorite pictures is the one with P and mom, you can just see that he knows he is loved so much :)

I am currently looking for newborn models, preferably between the ages of 5-10 days of age to work on a few particular setups. Models will be required for 2-4 hour time slots and will receive complementary gift prints (size 8x10 or smaller) for their participation, as well as an online gallery of images from which they can choose their favorite images for their complimentary prints. The Boys

I had a blast with this Father's Day Photo shoot. Kurtis and the boys had a great time as I followed them with my camera. I love pictures with father's and their children :) The boys had a fun time playing with some sticks they found...it's amazing how entertaining a stick can be to a child :) We also did some posed shots as well...

This is my beautiful niece Trinity. I was so excited for her arrival and to take her pictures :) She was the most alert 8 day old baby I have ever meet. I love taking pictures of newborns...there is just something so pure, fresh and amazing about new babies! Congratulations Josh and Christin...she is perfect!
